The air shock is more flexible as PSI can be adjusted based on rider weight. 

The 750 lb shock is recommended for riders who weigh 155 lbs or less and the 900 lb shock is recommended for riders who weigh 155-180 lbs. The coil shock variant has the 750 lb shock pre-installed.
